Created by Ilona Viluma, a mom and the founder of Gigi Bloks, International Playdate Day is for kids, and for parents who believe in the importance of play, who set up playdates for their kids on the day. It's a screen-free day when children play with their friends. They use the day to interact with each other, be active, discover themselves, and build essential life skills.

How to Observe International Playdate Day

If you have children, set up a playdate between them and another child or children. Involve the children in activities where they can be social and active and perhaps have the opportunity to learn, discover, and build life skills. Share about the day on social media with the hashtags #InternationalPlayDateDay and #PlayDateDay.
