Dare Day is a day dedicated to daring people to do things they normally wouldn’t do. The origins of Dare Day are unclear, but a formal Dare Day has been celebrated in Manteo in Dare County, North Carolina since 1976.

Dare Day is observed next on Monday, June 1st, 2020. It has always been observed annually on June 1st.

How to Observe

You can dare a friend to do something, or challenge yourself to do something you normally wouldn’t do. This is a day for action and taking risks. If you are really gutsy you can heighten the stakes with a “double dog dare” or “triple dog dare”.
