National Be Late For Something Day

This is a day dedicated to being late for something. People are late for things all the time, and this day finally gives them an excuse. The day was created by the Procrastinator's Club of America, shortly after the group's founding in 1956. The day was created not so people could be late for the sake of being late, but so they would use that time to relax and take in their surroundings.

How to Observe National Be Late For Something Day

In order to celebrate this day you need to be late for something. Come into work a few minutes late. It's okay! It's National Be Late For Something Day! If you don't have any plans today, call up a friend and make plans to meet them to eat pizza for National Cheese Pizza Day, and arrive late! Take the extra time you have getting somewhere to stop and appreciate the world around you. Really "smell the roses"!
