National Pork Rind Appreciation Day

Rudolph Foods introduced the observance in 2011 as a campaign encouraging fans to enjoy pork rinds, family fun, and togetherness during the Big Game. In its original campaign, the company pledged to donate 10 cents for each online vote to Wounded Warriors Family Support, a nonprofit supporting the families of people wounded, injured, or killed during combat operations. The announcement appeared in a 2011 news release from Rudolph Foods.

Today, pork rind fans can mark the occasion with their favorite flavors and a Super Bowl Sunday gathering. The day is also known as National Pork Rind Day.
