National Kitchen Klutzes of America Day

National Kitchen Klutzes of America Day is dedicated to everyone who has ever been a klutz in the kitchen. Some of you may have knocked a mixing bowl on the floor when you were stirring it. Some of you may have put the wrong ingredients in a recipe, burnt your creation to a crisp, or cut off your fingers. This day is for all of you. It is a day to remind you that it is okay to be a klutz in the kitchen, at least for a day.

National Kitchen Klutzes of America Day is observed next on Saturday, June 13th, 2020. It has always been observed annually on June 13th.

How to Observe

Celebrate the day by being your klutziest in the kitchen. Embrace your inner klutz and don’t try to fight it. If things go wrong just go with the flow. But, as this is the only day when you should be okay with being a klutz in the kitchen, it might be a good idea to spend the day reviewing kitchen safety techniques or organizing your kitchen. This way you will be ready to be less klutzy throughout the rest of the year. In honor of the day you could also take a look at some of the exhibits at the Burnt Food Museum, and see how klutzy people have been with their food.
