National Rosé Day celebrates rosé wine, the delicate pink beverage enjoyed for its relaxed, stylish appeal. It takes place on the second Saturday in June.
The holiday was founded in 2015 by Bodvár Hafström of Bodvár – House of Rosés. According to the brand’s stated goal, National Rosé Day was created to celebrate rosé and the vibrant lifestyle associated with it. The occasion has also been marked by rosé receptions and afternoon soirées, including a 2018 celebration at the Marina del Rey Hotel, while Bodvár described the day as an opportunity for rosé lovers to unite in celebration (BroadwayWorld’s 2018 account).
How to Observe National Rosé Day
Celebrate by pouring a glass of rosé with dinner, inviting friends over for hors d’oeuvres, or arranging a casual rosé tasting. You can also enjoy the occasion outdoors with a picnic or raise a toast to the start of summer. If you drink, do so responsibly and make sure everyone has a safe way home.
